Parents want the very best for their children. Each week families move to Verrado so they can provide their children with the exceptional educational opportunities available here. Verrado was founded on the principle of celebrating learning and that philosophy is supported by the entire community. We are delighted to share Verrado’s most recent achievements.
Verrado welcomes the addition of The Goddard School, Verrado’s first, high quality, independent early childhood development center. The school opened to its first students on August 3rd.
This year, both Verrado Elementary and Middle Schools are proud to have earned the rank of Excelling, the highest classification assigned by the Arizona Department of Education. The exceptional commitment of our teachers and staff, and students and parents, in partnership with the community has helped achieve this recognition.
Through an unprecedented partnership between Verrado and the Rodel Foundation, students attending Verrado Elementary School will benefit from another year of the acclaimed MACRo Program or Math Achievement Club of Rodel. The program has already produced very high student achievement levels and test scores at VES.
Verrado High School’s first senior class, the class of 2010, has returned to campus. The school was recognized as Highly Performing by the Arizona Department of Education and was recently acknowledged in the media for its dramatic improvement in test scores.
The Verrado Assembly is excited to officially launch the Verrado Youth Leadership program this fall. The program provides fun, interactive leadership training to youth in grades 6 – 9, living in Verrado. The program was developed in conjunction with Arizona State University and was modeled after the successful Verrado Leadership program for adult residents.
