Market Street, our mixed-use neighborhood center featuring office, retail, restaurant and entertainment within DC Ranch, is expanding with the opening and announcement of several new destination tenants. Anticipating a September 2012 opening, Market Street Kitchen is a new restaurant concept created by Paul Keeler, president of Keeler Hospitality Group.  “As a DC Ranch resident, I have fallen in love with the area.  Market Street is surging with activity, as new businesses and large scale community events continue to plant roots in this wonderful community” said Keeler.  Local Arizona favorite, Robert McGrath, has been announced as the executive chef.  Market Street Kitchen will offer an extensive selection of appetizers, steaks, chops, pork, lamb and chicken, grilled on a natural wood broiler and rotisserie.   A large horseshoe shaped bar will offer vintage cocktails, local craft beers, and an extensive wine list with over 30 wines by the glass.

Pioneers of the neighborhood trattoria in Chicago for the past 20 years, Mia Francesca opened its doors on Market Street in February 2012.  As their first hand-picked location in Arizona, chef and owner Scott Harris offers his freshest menu featuring simple, rustic Italian cuisine from Rome and regions of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio.  A well-chosen list of Old and New World wines and unique handcrafted cocktails compliment the menu.  “We chose our location on Market Street because there is a strong sense of community here, tied to the neighborhood,” according to Kevin Bird, general manager.

Now open is The Pilates Room, which owner Kelly Richardson relocated from Cave Creek.  The Pilates Room on Market Street offers body barre, yoga and TRX training as well as private and group sessions.  According to Richardson a catalyst for the move from Cave Creek to Market Street was “Market Street’s charm and appeal to visitors from other states creates a draw for students wanting to train in a vacation-like atmosphere.”

“We are very excited about this influx of new venues to Market Street,” said Charley Freericks, president of DMB.  “They will complement our current line-up of destination tenants, including Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, which recently renewed their lease.  With 93% of our office and 80% of retail space fully leased, Market Street is experiencing excellent growth in the North Scottsdale marketplace.”

Market Street is located on the southeast corner of Pima Road and Thompson Peak Parkway in DC Ranch, Arizona’s premier golf and residential community at the foothills of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve.  Visit www.beonmarketstreet.com for more.
