Patriotic Pancakes, Parades, Pool Parties, and more
For 11 years, Verrado residents have come together on July 4th to celebrate the community’s Spirit of Independence™. Similarly, Marley Park residents have shared a Star-Spangled CelebrationTM together for 9 years and counting. Having just honored its 2 year anniversary, the Independence Day celebrations at Eastmark are a bit newer, but still highly anticipated.
Fourth of July at Eastmark
It was a sight like no other. Over 1,500 flags lined all 13 of Eastmark’s neighborhood parks, and also the Visitor’s Center lawn and The Eastmark Great Park®.
This patriotic inspiration of the Hunter family has created a beautiful Eastmark tradition, setting a back drop of red, white and blue across the community.

Verrado Spirit of Independence
One of the community’s most magical events is the Spirit of Independence Children’s Bike Parade. Held bright and early to beat the heat, 500 plus residents don their patriotic flare to ride, walk, stroll, and march down Main Street to festive beats. In the lead is the Buckeye Fire Department engine truck with a crowd of red, white and blue speedsters and strollers trailing behind. At the finish line: cool and refreshing treats.
As the day heats up, residents are invited to cool off at the Splashback Pool Party at Verrado’s newest amenity, the Heritage Swim Park. In addition to swimming, participants enjoy DJ music, entertainment as well as poolside games and activities.
The fun continues with Fete & Fireworks at the Verrado Golf Club®. Summertime games and activities and also competitions are in full swing at this family-friendly event, including the All American Apple Pie Baking Contest, Bashas’ Watermelon Eating Competition and Pie Eating Contest. As the sun sets, a young resident singer belts the National Anthem and then fireworks light up the skies over Verrado.

Marley Park Star-Spangled Celebration
It starts with pancakes served by the local Boy Scout Troop. And when the bellies are full, residents head to the Veterans’ Commemorative Plaza to line up with their red, white and blue decorated wheels to walk or ride in the Patriotic Parade.
As evening approaches, residents gather at the Heritage Pool House for the Pool Party. Considered a favorite of many residents, this family-friendly event includes an all-American BBQ dinner, DJ music, and inflatable water slides. There’s also fun games and activities, including summertime competitions like the pie eating and watermelon seed spitting contests.
The community takes time to honor those who have served and are serving our country. As one of Marley Park’s younger residents sings the National Anthem, Luke Honor Guard or the Boy Scout troop performs the color guard.
