More than half of the community is land that’s protected now and for future generations. Honoring a former cattle ranch
In the 1900’s, DC Ranch was the fabled West of cowboys and cattle drivers. DMB honors those origins with the use of native materials and an earthy color palette.

To preserve the fragile desert, DMB made certain that streets flow with the contours of the land. Xeriscaping, which requires little water, is used throughout DC Ranch.

When DMB set out to build DC Ranch, preserving the character of the land was a priority. It took such precedence that of the community’s 8,300 acres, 4,600 will remain protected in the adjacent McDowell Sonoran Preserve. Paths and trails connect residents with both unspoiled desert land and each other, adding to the vibrance of the community.
Retail and Restaurants with a Main Street Charm
Market Street is a gathering spot, social hub, and host for many DC Ranch special events. This mixed-use commercial development serves as the neighborhood center for DC Ranch and offers a variety of restaurants, shops, offices and neighborhood conveniences. With its casual “Main Street” theme, the buildings at Market Street are designed to be architecturally unique and warmly inviting.
Luxury Office and Retail Space
Spanning more than four acres, Canyon Village includes approximately 100,000 square feet of office, retail and restaurant space. The formal Mediterranean architecture, which includes lush courtyards and fountains, harmonizes with the surrounding high desert. Canyon Village is home to The Village Health Club & Spa, where residents gather to stay fit and socialize.
