Verrado is proud to be the host site for the American Veterans Traveling Tribute, which includes an 80 percent replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C. This collection of memorials and exhibits honors, respects, and remembers those who have served and those who are serving.
In support of the Town of Buckeye, DMB helped sponsor the Tribute coming to Buckeye in April. Each year, it travels the U.S. and draws thousands of veterans and visitors.
On April 1, the Tribute will arrive in a ceremonial parade to Verrado High School for a week of display. Visitors will be able to experience the Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall which stands over 8’ tall and spans more than 370 feet. They may also visit the Cost of Freedom display which is nine large memorials represented in gold dog tags under glass to remember and honor all who died in service since Vietnam, including 9/11. A large art display-Vietnam Remembered and a Walk of Heroes’-also accompanies the wall. In addition to its mission of honor and remembrance, the Tribute reaches out to schools who visit as a vital history lesson for our youth.
We invite everyone to visit April 1-6 with the opening ceremony to be held at 10 a.m. on April 4.
