Ocotillo Village Health Club & Spa | Project Bringing Nearly 500 Jobs to East Valley

On Wednesday, June 18, 2014, a group of city and business leaders including Chandler Mayor Jay Tibshraeny and Councilmembers Kevin Hartke, Jack Sellers and Jeff Weninger gathered in a freshly-graded dirt field to officially break ground on the $25 million Ocotillo Village Health Club & Spa.

Joining the the Mayor and Councilmembers at the groundbreaking ceremony were prominent Valley businessmen, Bennett Dorrance and Mark Sklar, co-founders of the DMB real estate development company, parent company of the Village Health Clubs & Spas.

AZ Big Media Honors DMB as Developer of the Year

It’s always an exciting evening when AZ Big Media, the Valley’s leading publisher of local business news, hosts an awards event. DMB was chosen as Developer of the Year in the Annual Arizona Real Estate Achievement Awards (AREA) program. We were honored to be included along with Diamond Ventures and Sunbelt Holdings in this category.

Apple Deal Wins Economic Development Deal of the Year

Business Facilities Magazine recently awarded their top prize, the Gold Award for Economic Development Deal of the Year, to Arizona’s team that brought Apple to the state. The winning team – including GPEC, the Arizona Commerce Authority, Salt River Project, DMB, Maricopa County and the City of Mesa – was selected for their collaborative efforts to attract Apple’s manufacturing operations at Eastmark in Mesa, Arizona.

Stem-Focused Sequoia Pathfinder Academy at Eastmark to open in August

MESA, ARIZONA – Edkey Inc., the parent company of 16 Sequoia Charter Schools, has completed construction plans for the new $6.5 million Sequoia Pathfinder Academy at Eastmark, located on Eastmark Parkway, north of Ray Road in Mesa. The new tuition-free elementary school, which will serve 400 students, is scheduled to open in August for the 2014-15 school year.
