Charley Freericks has plenty of economic and real estate market insight at his fingertips. But the real estate development executive also has a more Main Street type of gauge of the economic and real estate recovery after the 2007 bust.

Freericks was just promoted Monday as president of DMB Associates, a Scottsdale-based real estate development firm. He’s been with DMB for 15 years and is a real estate industry veteran.

DMB Associates names Charley Freericks president

DMB Associates Inc. — one of Arizona’s largest real estate development companies — has named Charley Freericks its new president.

Freericks has been with Scottsdale-based DMB since 1997. He is now a senior vice president with the development firm.

DMB’s development portfolio includes the Eastmark redevelopment of the GM Proving Grounds in Mesa, DC Ranch in Scottsdale and Marley Park in Surprise.

Freericks’ promotion to president comes after DMB spun off its Hawaii and California developments into a new company named DMB Pacific Ventures.

Scottsdale-based developer DMB Associates has promoted Charley Freericks to president. He was previously senior vice president of the company’s commercial division.

As the company enters a new phase of active development, it is repositioning its team, founding partner Drew Brown said in the announcement Tuesday.

DMB recently launched its Eastmark project on the former GM Proving Grounds in Mesa. DMB’s Verrado community in Buckeye continues to draw buyers and has several years before it is built out.
